    Arts-Crafts Group

The Village Arts-Crafts Group has been quite creative with several fun events -- including creating beautiful note cards (thank you for your inspiration Ronnie Pinkowitz) and Knitting/Crocheting, Broomstick knitting, (Thank you to our inspiring teachers Lorrie Sperber and Ann Grafstein). This is just the beginning!

Our most recent event was at Karla Gudeon's fun beautiful Studio -- thank you to all of you who joined us . . loved our beautiful afternoon together! And thank you Rabbi Susie for connecting us to this creative, fun, inspiring artist! We all definitely needed this inspiring time together and so many of you expressed your interest to visit her studio again to make an artistic Decoupage plate! More creative fun in store . . so stay tuned for our future dates and times!

So, here's what's next:
Super excited to see you all at our next fun event . . our very own Paint Night, December 14th, at 7pm, at Temple Beth Torah. Who wants to learn watercolor? I know I can't wait! Thank you so much, Jan Fineman for sharing all of your watercolor techniques and expertise with us!

And no need to bring anything . . just your fun creative thinking and some good ideas for future Village Arts events! We will have everything else you need!

Since this is just open to us -- the Village Arts Group -- and we are all at least double or triple vaccinated (we are taking all CDC precautions), I've heard from many of you and I'm excited to see you there. Space is limited, so if you could please let me know as soon as possible who plans to be there -- that would be perfect!

Here's wishing you and your families a very Happy, Healthy Chanukah and thank you to all for being part of our fun Village journey -- as we continue to build our Village Arts and beautiful friendships together! Can't wait to see you soon!
All the Best! Anita Rayman

Watch your e-mail and the Village Calendar for some future dates and up-coming events. We can't wait to get together again soon!

The Genealogy Group will meet on alternating weekdays approximately once a month. During the meetings Jeff Austin will discuss different sources for genealogy research and other useful tips to trace your family history. Jeff is not a professional genealogist, but a very experiencesd researcher who is on the board of the LI Jewish Genealogy Society.

Our group is composed of members with different levels of experience, so each meeting will try to be useful to everyone. If you want to learn more about your family history, please join our group.

You need to start simply by knowing as many names of grandparents, great grandparents, etc. And from there there is so much information that you can obtain by just using your computer! Hope to see you soon!
