"Energy is a National Security Issue"
HIA's October luncheon burned with patriotic fervor provided by Congressman
Steve Israel who presented a discussion on Energy Security.
Steve Israel asked that members of the business community "do something for your
country" by committing to making Long Island the center for research, new markets and new
supplies to develop the technology needed to develop an alternative energy center.
"Energy is a National Security Issue," said Israel. "Every military challenge is derived
or impacted by our reliance on fossel fuel and foreign energy."
