| VISION | The purpose of the Long Island Chapter of the US Green Building Council
is to mirror and advance the core purpose of the US Green Building
Council locally; to transform the way buildings and communities are
designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially
responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the
quality of life.
|
| MISSION | The USGBC-LI is committed to working with our fellow Long Islanders to improve our quality of life by improving the quality of the structures we build and the environment in which we all live, work and play. We are committed to leaving the world a little better than we found it so that future generations have an unfettered opportunity to do the same.

June 24 - LEED Points & Financial Incentives (Show Me the Money)
|
| Hundreds of thousands of dollars in utility savings,
incentives, rebates and tax benefits are often overlooked by the design team, due to a lack of project
collaboration. Our expert panelists will discuss the importance of
integrated design and the potential savings owners and developers can
realize on new construction and existing buildings.
Representatives from LIPA, National Grid, USGBC-LI, a
tax expert and contractors will discuss the readily available programs
and unveil a matrix to help the integrated design team match
LEED credits to the potential savings and benefits.
Thurs, June 24, 2010 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM
