QUICK LINKS
MISSION
The USGBC-LI is committed to working with our fellow Long Islanders to improve our quality of life by improving the quality of the structures we build and the environment in which we all live, work and play.  We are committed to leaving the world a little better than we found it so that future generations have an unfettered opportunity to do the same.

We are also committed to delivering the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit (social, environmental and economic benefits).

May 26 - Vital Signs of IAQ
(Indoor Air Quality)

The number of patients who die from infections contracted at hospitals is far too high.  Similarly, schools often breed asthma and sluggish behavior.   Indoor air quality can be significantly AIA Logoimproved at hospitals and schools, while reducing their operating costs.  Attendees  will learn how North Shore LIJ Hospital System has  transformed the way their hospitals are designed, built and retrofitted to ensure the safety of their patients and their staff.  Many of the lessons learned at North Shore can be applied to the way public schools are designed and built.
