The Huntington Anti-Bias Task Force (HABTF) consists of concerned citizens, government officials, educators, clergy, and representatives of the Hate Crimes Unit of the SCPD. We work together to deliver various cultural and educational programs to help eliminate intolerance and prejudice based upon race, ethnicity, age, disability, gender or sexual orientation. We often collaborate with other advocacy and government agencies to achieve our goals. We are a non-partisan group that is part of the Suffolk County Anti-Bias Task Force.

Our work is accomplished by:
  • Building relationships with parties involved with bias issues to develop communication and understanding
  • Supporting and delivering educational programs to eliminate bias and prejudice
  • Expanding our network of citizen leaders, government officials, educators and clergy
  • Promoting the work of HABTF to individuals, groups and the media to make them aware of the benefits and the services that the Task Force delivers.
Next meeting of HABTF is 1:00 PM Tues May 28 at TBD in Melville.
